in MAYFL scholarships have been awarded since 2009
The MAYFL Scholarship is an annual award that was created to encourage former cheerleaders and football players of the MAYFL program to continue their quest for higher learning. The program honors those who demonstrate the greatest overall performance and improvement in student achievement as well contribute to the high school they attend and the community in which they live.
The recipients receive anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000 in college scholarship for graduating high school seniors.
All high school seniors who participated in MAYFL and who have a desire and plan to continue their education beyond high school and who is committed to making a positive difference in our communities are eligible to apply. The student must be planning to enter an accredited post-secondary institution or trade school. The applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50 and participate in community service activities for a minimum of 75 hours in the last year.
